Seminar on Optoelectronics Teaching Standards and Curriclum and Faculty Capability Enhancement Training Program was successfully held on July 7-14, 2024. This event was cohosted by Qingdao Technical College (China Training Base for Optoelectronic Technology Project of the 47th WorldSkills Competition) and Guangdong Vcom Education Technology Co., Ltd. (Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills). The event was supported by the Global Training Center (Optoelectronics International Teaching Standards and Curriculum Co-development Alliance) and targeted professionals in optoelectronics, electronic technology, electromechanics, information technology, and intelligent manufacturing.
The agenda included Optoelectronic Technology Teacher Training Theme Sharing Session and the New Pathways Seminar for Internationalization of Vocational Education, Seminar and Review Meeting on Teaching Standards for Intelligent Optoelectronic Technology Application, Seminar on the Development of Course Resource Standards for Intelligent Optoelectronic Technology Application, Feasibility Seminar on New Careers and Standard Development in the Field of Optoelectronic Technology, Skills Teacher Training for Optoelectronic Technology Projects, Final Assessment and Certification for Optoelectronic Technology Project Training, Enterprise Research Practical Activities and Exchange Visits.
Participants of this event gained mastery of professional skills and applications in line with WorldSkills and China National Competition standards, familiarized themselves with the skill requirements of industry positions, and received training on judging techniques, project assessment points, and judging technology. Additionally, participants took part in thematic seminars on new majors and professional construction work ideas, receiving training certification, which provides a solid technical foundation for future vocational education teaching. Moreover, this event provided opportunities for participants to acquire international information, engage in the coconstruction and sharing of international standards, and explore new pathways for vocational education going global.
