From September 19 to 23, 2025, the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition of the People’s Republic of China, hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the PRC and organized by the People’s Government of Henan Province, was successfully held and concluded in Zhengzhou. With the theme “Skills Light the Future,” the competition stands as one of the most influential national vocational skills events in China in terms of scale, scope, and technical level.

The competition featured 106 skill competitions, including 66 WorldSkills selection skills and 40 national-level skills. A total of 35 delegations and 3,420 competitors from across the country participated. A series of concurrent activities, such as the Skills for a Strong Nation Forum, skill demonstrations, master skill showcases, and hands-on training sessions, further highlighted the value and impact of skills development.
As an official equipment and technical support provider, Guangdong VCOM Education Technology Co., Ltd. (VCOM) provided comprehensive support throughout the competition. VCOM delivered professional technical services and equipment support for five key skill areas: Optoelectronic Technology, Optoelectronic Information Technology, Health and Social Care, Information Network Cabling (ICT Network Infrastructure), and Intelligent Security Technology, contributing to the high-quality and efficient delivery of the event.

During the competition, VCOM showcased our solutions at Booths S7-A01 and S7-A15. At Booth S7-A15, we presented our core businesses, including industry colleges, joint program development, skills competitions, training and certification, and international vocational education cooperation, highlighting the “One Core, Multiple Wings” ecosystem centered on digital and intelligent manufacturing. The booth attracted extensive attention from government officials, institutional leaders, experts, and delegation members nationwide.

At Booth S7-A01, VCOM launched the “Optoelectronic Information Technology Skills Training Classroom,” designed in line with WorldSkills standards. Through interactive hands-on experiences such as a rotating six-sided LED cube display and laser engraving modules, the booth offered an immersive and engaging approach to skills learning, showcasing the innovation and creativity behind modern vocational skills.

During the competition, VCOM also actively participated in industry exchange and competition outcome transformation activities. As one of the co-organizers of the Exchange Seminar of the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition of the PRC, our CEO, Ms. Cathy Wang, delivered a keynote speech titled “Development and Practice of New WorldSkills Projects.” The presentation provided a systematic overview of the development pathways for new WorldSkills projects and the transformation of competition outcomes. It also introduced VCOM’s practical exploration, supported by the Global Training Center, in areas such as curriculum resource development, new occupational standards formulation, vocational skill level certification, technical standards export, and international talent cultivation, offering valuable insights for promoting the integration of competitions and education as well as the development of high-skilled talent. In addition, the event featured activities including competition site visits, keynote speeches, and roundtable discussions, aiming to build an industry exchange platform and promote the enhancement of vocational skills competition standards and the effective application of outcomes in technical and vocational institutions.

With the successful conclusion of the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition, VCOM will continue to use skills competitions as a key link, firmly implementing the principle of “promoting teaching, learning, development, and reform through competition,” and advancing the deep integration of competition standards with teaching systems. Looking ahead to the 48th WorldSkills Competition to be held in Shanghai in 2026, as a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills, VCOM will continue to empower event preparation and the high-quality development of vocational education, facilitating precise alignment between talent cultivation and industry needs, and contributing to the development of high-skilled talent and industrial upgrading in the new era.
