1. WorldSkills International (WSI)

WorldSkills International (WSI) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality and recognition of vocational skills education, fostering talent development, and promoting international collaboration.

WSI originated in the 1940s, with its concept proposed by Francisco Albert Vidal from Spain. The first International Skills Competition was held in Madrid in 1950. Since then, it has gradually grown into a global vocational skills education network with nearly 90 member countries and regions.

Core Mission:

  • Enhance the social status and public awareness of skilled professionals

  • Promote economic development and personal success

  • Establish global vocational skills standards (WorldSkills Occupational Standards)

  • Organize the WorldSkills Competition and related educational activities

WSI hosts the global competition every two years and also organizes vocational education summits, regional training programs, and industry standards development initiatives, playing a leading role in the global vocational education system.
