On October 22, 2019, the pre-competition briefing session and technical training meeting of the "information network cabling" competition of the 2019 information technology skills competition for national vocational schools were obtained great success. The event was sponsored by Information Technology commission of Chinese Society of Vocational and Technical Education, Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics & Information and Guangdong Vcom Education Technology Co. Ltd which is a “global industry partner” of WorldSkills International.
Mr. Shen Lixin, deputy director of Information Technology commission of Chinese Society of Vocational and Technical Education, was invited to deliver an opening speech for the event.
The honored guests were: Takuo Kikuchi, global expert & project initiator of Information Network Cabling of WorldSkills International; Xiuying Yang, Principal of Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics & Information, event organizer; Jun Xu, competition referee, China Telecom Shanghai Branch; GuoFa Wei, Silver medal winner of the 45th WorldSkills Competition "information network cabling"; Yanfeng Wang, CEO of Guangdong Vcom Group Co.,Ltd, the co-organizer of the event. The guests attended the event together. they conveyed the spirit of preciseness, fairness and justice of the competition, as well as the competition tenet of promoting learning by competition, promoting competition by learning and combining competition with teaching at the beginning of the competition.
The technical training before the "information network cabling" competition of the 2019 information technology skills competition for national vocational college lasted for two days. The training courses were carried out in the way of theory, demonstration and practice. Based on the national standards, the training courses were integrated into the international standards and the purpose of skills training. Combined with the needs of the current hot industry, the fields involved in the discipline were transformed into teaching modules. Through the way of simulation demonstration and practice, the level of skills and the quality of personnel training were improved.
Taking the competition as the starting point, the professional and technical ability, project planning ability, project communication and coordination ability and project management ability of the participants were examined through the competition. Through the competition, the construction achievements of information network cabling technology and optoelectronic information technology application specialty in various colleges and universities will be displayed to promote the development, innovation and expansion of information network cabling in vocational education, as well as the improvement of school enterprise cooperation mode.
Generally, the opening of "information network cabling" competition in Colleges across the country will be an important project in line with the industry, specialty and international standards, with the important significance of industry and education integration, post training consistency and leading the development of industry technical specifications.
The "information network cabling" competition of national vocational college information technology skills competition in 2019 will be held in Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics & Information (Fengxian campus) from November 19 to 22 , 2019.
