Release time:2024-09-26

From September 11 to 15, 2024, the 47th WorldSkills Competition was held in Lyon, France. As a significant event in global skill development, it brought together over 1,400 competitors from more than 70 countries, along with over 1,300 experts. The competition covered 59 skills and 3 exhibition skills. We, Guangdong Vcom Education Technology Co., Ltd, as a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International, actively participated in this event, providing facilities and technical support for four skill competitions: Information Network Cabling (Skill 02), Electronics (Skill 16), Health and Social Care (Skill 41), and Optoelectronics Technology (Skill 60).

In this competition, all competitors from various countries showcased their remarkable talents and hard work. Each participant dedicated countless hours to rigorous training, pouring their hearts and souls into the pursuit of honor on this international stage. Throughout the event, the focused and tense expressions, nimble fingers, and precise operations of the competitors conveyed their passion and dedication to their skills.

Every match featured unforgettable moments: the confident performances of the competitors on stage, the judges’ meticulous scoring, and the cheers from the audience all painted a vibrant picture. These memorable instances not only reflect the hard work of the competitor but also symbolize the global development of skills, inspiring more individuals to pursue and enhance their vocational skills.

During the competition, we also set up booths (Try A Skill) for these four skills, showcasing our technological strength and innovation in relevant fields. The Try A Skill booth for Optoelectronics Technology particularly attracted a large number of French middle and primary school students, who showed great interest in the LED Rubik’s Cube and the LED Eiffel Tower Model. The booth featured not only impressive models but also simulation software, allowing students to interactively experience the practical applications of optoelectronics technology, igniting their passion for science and exploration. This real experience undoubtedly deepened the younger generation’s understanding of future vocational skills.

Meanwhile, the Robot Arm at the Electronics Try A Skill became a hotspot, drawing many experts and their families to interact. A notable moment was when an expert of WorldSkills France brought his grandsons to the booth, where the children excitedly operated the robotic arm, experiencing its precise movements. Both experts and competitors, as well as visitors, expressed their enthusiasm, praising Vcom’s efforts in combining technology and education, laying a solid foundation for cultivating future skilled talents.

The Health and Social Care booth was equally impressive, offering visitors free health check-ups. Our technical staff utilized the self-developed All-In-One Health Monitor to assess visitors’ physical conditions, such as blood pressure and blood oxygen levels and so on, showcasing our expertise in health technology. Through this initiative, Vcom not only raised public health awareness but also demonstrated our proactive stance on social responsibility.

Additionally, our CEO, Ms. Wang Yanfeng, and Director of International Department, Ms. Huang Jingjie, attended the WorldSkills Conference: MOVING TVET TO THE TOP of THE GLOBAL AGENDA and other conferences. Also, at the closing ceremony, Ms. Wang personally awarded the winners of the Information Network Cabling skill competition, highlighting our commitment to skill education and talent development. This not only served as encouragement for the winners but also underscored the importance of vocational skills training, reaffirming Vcom’s commitment to promoting global skill development.

Behind this grand event, many unsung heroes contributed tirelessly. Whether it was the staff at the French venue, our technical support team, or the support from the French organizing committee and WorldSkills International, everyone put in tremendous effort and dedication. It is their selfless contributions and professional support that ensured the smooth progress of the competition. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and salute all the workers who contributed to this successful event.

Our participation not only enhanced our brand’s visibility but also contributed to global skill development. Through this event, we demonstrated our comprehensive capabilities in skill training, equipment provision, and technical support, further solidifying our position in the international education sector.

Looking ahead, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to the advancement of vocational education, cultivating more skilled talents to meet the ever-changing market demands. Vcom firmly believes that only through the integration of technology and education can we pave a broader path for the cultivation of future talents.
